Arbitration

Arbitration is one of the most effective ways to resolve disputes instead of turning to courts, as in arbitration, the resolution and execution procedures are very fast. Also, the two sides of the dispute are free to choose the law they want to be applied by the arbitration authority.

Arbitration is already mentioned in Islam, and an example of this is when a dissension happens between a husband and his wife, as Allah says in the Holy Quran: "And if you fear dissension between the two [a husband and his wife], send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things]." ...(35) Surat An-Nisa (the women)
